Suspect Sought In Santa Rosa Donut Store Robbery
SANTA ROSA (BCN) ―
Three law enforcement agencies in Sonoma County responded quickly to a robbery at a doughnut store Tuesday afternoon.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Department, the California Highway Patrol and Santa Rosa police conducted an extensive search of the area around Sam's Donuts on Sebastopol Road after the 2:40 p.m. robbery.
Sheriff's deputies were on the scene within a minute, Lt. Chris Spallino said, but despite a search by a CHP helicopter and by ground units the suspect escaped.
Spallino said the suspect entered the business, jumped the counter and pointed a pistol at the victim. The suspect took cash and fled.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 18-25 years old with a medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing dark pants and a black tank top.
