Man Faces Charges In Marin Domestic Assault Case
MILL VALLEY (BCN) ―
A Mill Valley man will be arraigned in Marin County Superior Court Thursday afternoon for an alleged domestic violence incident at an inn on Shoreline Highway.
Daniel Jordan, 31, of Mill Valley was shot with a Taser and arrested Tuesday night at America's Best Value Inn at 155 Shoreline Highway in Mill Valley, Marin County Sheriff's Sgt. Debra Barry said.
A woman told deputies Jordan struck and bit her in the face, broke the windshield of her vehicle to prevent her from leaving and removed her phone to prevent her from calling police around 8:20 p.m., Barry said.
Deputies found Jordan in the bathroom of a room at the inn, Barry said. He refused to cooperate with deputies and was shot with a Taser after he took a fighting stance, Barry said.
He was medically cleared at Marin General Hospital and booked into the Marin County jail on two counts each of inflicting injury on a spouse or cohabitant, false imprisonment, vandalism and damaging a telephone line. His bail is $50,000.
