SJ Delta Flight Makes Emergency SFO Landing
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
A Delta Air Lines flight bound for Atlanta made an emergency landing at San Francisco International Airport Wednesday after a warning light went on in the cockpit, a Delta spokesman said.
The Boeing 737 carrying 93 passengers and six crewmembers left Mineta San Jose International Airport at 6:25 a.m. and landed safely at SFO around 7:30 a.m., Delta spokesman Anthony Black said.
Black said the emergency landing was made after a light came on indicating there was a fuel transfer problem.
However, after passengers exited the plane, a maintenance crew found that the light indicator system was malfunctioning, not the fuel system, Black said.
The flight was canceled and passengers were reassigned to other flights.
