1 Killed, 4 Injured In Crash Near Stanford

PALO ALTO (BCN) ― One person was killed and four others injured in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in unincorporated Santa Clara County near Stanford, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Preliminary reports indicate two vehicles crashed on Page Mill Road just west of Foothill Expressway at about 1:15 p.m. and one vehicle overturned, CHP Officer Marc Johnston said.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two people who were trapped required extrication, according to Johnston.

The injured victims were transported to Stanford Medical Center, Johnston said.
