A 2-year-old girl drowned in her family's pool in Concord Thursday evening, a police lieutenant said Friday.

Lt. Garrett Voerge said police received a report of a possible drowning victim in the 2700 block of Wexford Drive at about 5 p.m. Responding firefighters found the girl's father performing CPR and took over life-saving efforts.

The girl, identified as Hannah Spencer, was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, Voerge said. He said the incident appears to be a tragic accident.
