Murder-Suicide Suspected In 2 Concord Deaths

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

CONCORD (BCN) ― The Contra Costa County coroner's office has identified a couple killed Sunday night in what is believed to be a murder-suicide.

Police found 25-year-old Serena Montes and 33-year-old Jason Montes, both Concord residents, suffering from gunshot wounds in a home in the 2200 block of Acacia Drive.

The initial call came in at about 6 p.m. reporting that somebody inside the home was suicidal, police said.

When they arrived, officers found Jason Montes already dead from a single gunshot wound.

Serena Montes had been shot at least once, but was still alive. She was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where she later died.
