Power Outage Cancels Classes At SF City College
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
A power outage canceled some classes Tuesday afternoon at City College of San Francisco's Ocean Campus, however evening classes are on as scheduled, a spokeswoman for the college announced.
The outage occurred at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, turning off lights for the campus, 50 Phelan Ave., and forcing the cancellation of some afternoon classes, college spokeswoman Martha Lucey said.
Power returned at about 3:30 p.m. and classes will resume Tuesday evening, according to Lucey.
"We are having evening classes and we want faculty and students to show up this evening," she said.
Pacific Gas and Electric Co. spokesman Joe Molica said the outage affected eight customers and was caused by a section of bad cable that has been replaced.
"We apologize for any inconvenience that this outage caused our customers," Molica said.
