Caltrain Hits, Kills Woman In Mountain View

MOUNTAIN VIEW (BCN) ― A woman was fatally struck by a train at the Mountain View station around 6 p.m. Monday, according to Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn.

The No. 270 train was heading south when it hit Arden Sullivan who died at the scene, Dunn said. The Mountain View resident was 51-years-old.

The train involved was removed and both tracks reopened for service around 7:30 p.m., according to Dunn.

By 9 p.m., trains were still delayed about one hour to one and one-half hour, she said.
