The protestors that scaled the Golden Gate Bridge in April and held up "Free Tibet" banners will do community service for the crime.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported Monday that San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris' decided the three bridge climbers should be charged with only misdemeanors, ranging from trespassing to resisting arrest, which makes them eligible for a pretrial diversion program.
All charges against them will be dropped once they've completed 25-hours of community service. The climbers have chose to serve a group they were already affiliated with, called Students for a Free Tibet.
The California Highway Patrol and Golden Gate Bridge officials were not pleased with what they feel is letting people who put bridge workers and drivers in danger get off easy.
