Fog Warnings Lifted For Bay Area Bridges

Traffic advisories due to heavy fog that were issued for Bay Area bridges Friday morning have been lifted, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The warnings were issued for the Benicia-Martinez Bridge and the Carquinez Bridge around 6 a.m. when driving conditions on the bridges became hazardous and visibility dipped below one fourth of a mile, CHP Officer Nicole Pacheco said.
Earlier, fog advisories were issued for the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge at 10:45 p.m. Thursday and for the Bay Bridge at around 11:20 p.m. Thursday, CHP Officer Nicole Pacheco said.
Advisories for the Bay Bridge, Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, Benicia-Martinez Bridge and Carquinez Bridge are no longer in effect.
The advisories were lifted between 10:01 a.m. and 10:36 a.m., the CHP said.
