Woman Found Dead Along South Bay Hiking Trail

SAN JOSE (CBS 5 / AP) ― Santa Clara County authorities say a woman was found dead near a hiking trail in a park south of San Jose.

Santa Clara County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Rick Sung says deputies were called to the park around 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a hiker found the woman's body off to the side of a trail in Santa Teresa County Park.

Sung says deputies had no information yet about how the woman died.
Her name has not been released.

The park is a popular destination for hikers, about 10 miles south of San Jose.
