Man Fatally Shot In Berkeley's 2nd Murder Of Year

A man died of multiple gunshot wounds after being shot in the 1500 block of Harmon Street near California Street in South Berkeley shortly before midnight on Sunday, police said.
The victim was identified as 29-year-old Brandon Terrell Jones of Berkeley.
Police Lt. Andrew Greenwood said several residents on Harmon Street called police at 11:50 p.m. Sunday to say that they had heard multiple gunshots.
He said police responded within three minutes and found Jones suffering from gunshot wounds.
Jones was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.
No weapons were recovered and no arrests had been made, police said.
They asked that anyone who has information about the shooting to call homicide investigators at 510-981-5741.
The shooting was the second homicide in Berkeley this year.
