OAKLAND (BCN) ― Three East Bay park shorelines remain closed following the November 7 Cosco Busan oil spill, East Bay Parks Regional Park District spokeswoman Shelly Lewis said Thursday.

The Keller Beach shoreline opened to the public Saturday and the remaining stretch of Miller Knox Regional Shoreline opened Monday, said Lewis.

Point Isabel Regional Shoreline and Eastshore State Park are closed along the shorelines, but the park and trails have continued to remain open, Lewis explained.

Brooks Island Regional Preserve is the only park that is still completely off-limits to the public, according to Lewis.

The closed shorelines continue to be assessed by park district employees to determine when the remaining closed beaches will be safe for the public, Lewis said.
