A Bay Area storm caused highway flooding Sunday evening and prompted the California Highway Patrol to warn drivers to slow down.
CHP Officer Aaron Quistad said most of the flooding reports had come from Oakland and Hayward.
Quistad said the flooding had not caused any major highway crashes but drivers still needed to slow down because continued rain was bound to make road conditions worse.
Typically, the California Department of Transportation tries to unclog drains and put out warning signs for drivers in dangerous areas.
Quistad said drivers should pay close attention to all warning signs and try to stay in the middle lanes because they were the least likely to flood.
