BART Debuts EZ Rider Card To Speed Parking Payment
ORINDA (CBS 5 / KCBS) ―
BART rolled out new machines at the Orinda station Monday morning to make it faster and easier for regular riders to pay for parking.
The EZ Rider card has become a popular way for passengers to pay their way on BART. New technology will allow them to use the same card in the BART parking lots, according to transit spokesman Linton Johnson.
The smart card will deduct your BART fare and your parking charge. And if you sign up for one soon, the card is free, Johnson said.
The new parking machines will be in place at 15 BART stations within a month.
