Pacifica Man Accused Of Kidnapping Ex-Girlfriend
PACIFICA (BCN) ―
A Peninsula man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend with his motorcycle helmet and then briefly kidnapped her, police said Friday.
According to San Carlos police, 44-year-old Mel Alan Lewis, of Pacifica, is believed to have followed the woman to San Carlos Thursday afternoon, where he allegedly head-butted her in the face while wearing the helmet.
He then dragged her into her own vehicle and drove her to San Mateo against her will, police said.
Lewis allegedly continued to punch the woman several times before she was able to get away and call police.
San Carlos police found and arrested Lewis in San Mateo around 10 p.m.
He is in custody in San Mateo County Jail on $100,000 bail, police said.
