 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

ANTIOCH (BCN) ― Antioch police searched for a suspect who allegedly robbed a man and woman at gunpoint Sunday at Williamson Ranch Park, Sgt. Steve Bias said.

The incident was reported at 12:53 p.m. and occurred in the park's parking lot near the intersection of Lone Tree Way and Hillcrest Avenue, according to Bias.

He said a man and woman were sitting in a vehicle when the suspect approached them. The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded property from inside the vehicle, Bias said.

The woman surrendered her purse and the suspect then fled the area on foot, according to Bias.

The suspect is described as a black man who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet inches 9 tall with a thin build. His face was covered up with a sweatshirt at the time of the reported robbery, according to Bias.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Antioch Police Department at (925) 778-2441.
