Magnitude 2.8 Quake Hits Near Alum Rock
ALUM ROCK (CBS 5 / BCN) ―
The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.8 struck at 6:08 p.m. Friday near the Alum Rock area of Santa Clara County.
According to the USGS, the earthquake had a depth of 5.2 miles and was centered 6 miles southeast of Alum Rock and 10 miles east of San Jose.
There were no reports of any damage or injuries.
