A new quarter celebrating Yosemite National Park is now in circulation.
About 1,200 people attended a ceremony at the park on Thursday to introduce the coin, which is part of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
The coin depicts El Capitan on the "tails" side. And like all quarters, the "heads" side features a profile of George Washington.
As part of the program, a total of 56 quarters will be rolled out over the next several years one for each state and territory and the District of Columbia.
This year's coins honor the country's four oldest national parks Hot Springs, Yellowstone, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon as well as Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon.
