A prosecutor says she'll be filing additional charges against a psychiatrist accused of molesting his young patients when he returns to court later this month.
William Ayres is due back in court on April 27th after being charged last week with 18 counts of lewd and lascivious behavior involving the alleged molestation of five boys in his care.
Prosecutor Melissa McKowan says investigators have interviewed at least 37 men who say they were molested by Ayres. She says she expects to add charges he fondled several other boys.
The 75-year-old Ayres is free on bail. He was jailed again briefly Friday after a judge raised his bail from $250,000 to $750,000.
Ayres has yet to hire a lawyer or enter a plea. He said in court Friday his agreement with noted San Francisco defense lawyer Jim Collins had -- quote -- "evaporated."
