SF Judge Rules Against Coach In Steroid Probe
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ―
A federal judge in San Francisco Friday denied a motion to dismiss charges against an elite track coach indicted as part of a federal investigation into steroid use by professional athletes.
Trevor Graham was charged last year with three counts of making false statements to federal agents. The government accused him of lying in 2004 when he denied distributing steroids or telling his athletes where they could get them.
Graham's attorneys had asked the judge to dismiss the charges because Justice Department officials leaked information to the media.
