SSF Man's Face Slashed During Fist Fight
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
A 37-year-old man received an 8-inch cut on his face as he was attempting to intervene in a fight Friday evening in South San Francisco, police announced Sunday.
Marcus Bettis had been loitering and drinking in the 600 block of First Lane with several other people, when, shortly after 7 p.m., two young males in the group started fighting.
When Bettis stepped in to try to break it up, one of the males slashed the left side of his face with a knife or similar object, police said.
Paramedics took Bettis to San Francisco General Hospital.
A dark green late 1990s Ford Mustang was seen fleeing the scene.
Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call South San Francisco police Officer Fukushima at (650) 877-8900 ext. 7211.
