Police Link South S.F. Stabbing To Later Shooting
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
A 17-year-old boy who left a party in South San Francisco early Sunday was stabbed by three assailants, and police officials suspect a later shooting attack on an occupied home was linked to the stabbing, South San Francisco police reported.
The 2 a.m. stabbing occurred when the juvenile left a party in South San Francisco and was approached by three male suspects who smashed the victim's car window and started a physical fight with him.
During the fight, the victim was stabbed twice in the back, according to a police report.
The victim was treated for the stab wounds and has been released from the hospital, police reported.
Police were investigating a later attack on an occupied home on the 600 block of Linden Avenue around 6:10 a.m. today in which a shooter was thought to have used an assault rifle to spray bullets at the residence.
None of the people inside the house were injured, police reported.
Investigators suspect the stabbing and shooting were "most likely related" and are encouraging members of the public to come forward with information about either incident.
