Police released a sketch of a man who sexually assaulted a 10-year-old boy on the afternoon of June 19 in a culvert near Clayton City Hall.
The boy reported assault at 3:45 p.m. Clayton and Concord police immediately began to search the area using a police dog, motorcycle officers and a helicopter from the Contra Costa County Sheriff's office, but didn't find the suspect, police said.
The boy described his attacker as a 6-foot-tall black man between 40 and 50 years old. He was wearing teal-colored hospital attire, including a teal cap, teal shirt, teal pants and medical-type shoe covers, police said.
He was also wearing a medical mask and medical gloves. The boy said the man had no hair on his arms and squinted his eyes, police said.
The victim was interviewed by forensic specialists and helped create a composite sketch of the suspect.
Investigators were continuing to follow up on leads, but are still asking for anyone with information about the case to call the Clayton Police Department at (925) 673-7350.
