$8K Reward Now Offered In SF Puppy Stabbing Death

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ― A reward for information on the stabbing death of a three-legged pit bull puppy in San Francisco has reached nearly $8,000, San Francisco Animal Care and Control officials said.

The pit bull, named Pogo, was 7 months old and was in foster care with the local organization Grateful Dogs Rescue. On July 22, Pogo was being exercised by his foster parent at Ocean Beach when he disappeared behind a sand dune at about 8 p.m., according to Animal Care and Control officials.

Pogo wasn't seen again until his body was found with stab wounds across town in the city's Bayview District on July 29.

Animal Care and Control is asking anyone who was at Ocean Beach to check cameras, cell phones or camcorders for images taken during the evening of July 22.

Anyone with information about Pogo can call Animal Care and Control at (415) 554-9400.
