Victims Sought In SJ Child Pornography Case
SAN JOSE (BCN) ―
San Jose police are seeking assistance in locating victims who may have had contact with a man suspected of taking pornographic pictures of children under the guise of taking modeling photos.
Richard Werner Schweich, 39, was arrested at his home in South San Jose in May following numerous child sexual exploitation crimes, one involving an 11-year-old girl.
According to police, the victim reported that in Jan. 2008, Schweich approached her in his car and told her he was a modeling agent. He then took her to a motel room in the 1000 block of the Alameda, where he refused to let her leave and took pornographic photos of her.
A similar incident was reported to police in 2007.
Schweich is being held in a federal detention center. He is awaiting trial on charges of child sexual exploitation and child pornography, according to police.
U.S. Postal Inspectors are assisting police with the investigation.
Anyone who may have information on this case is urged to contact Detective Kendra Nunes or Sgt. Randy Schriefer at (408) 277-4102.
