Teenager Arrested In SF Shooting, Standoff
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
San Francisco police arrested a teenager on suspicion of shooting at a group of people in the city's Bayview District on Wednesday night and then barricading himself inside his home, a police sergeant said.
Giovanni Hernandez, 19, is suspected of firing several shots at the group in the 100 block of Kiska Road just after 9 p.m., Sgt. Wilfred Williams said. The shooting did not injure anyone.
After the shooting, the gunman ran to his house nearby and locked himself inside, Williams said. A police standoff followed, and Hernandez surrendered just after 11 p.m., he said.
Police arrested him on suspicion of five counts of attempted homicide, Williams said.
