Petaluma Police Warn On Man Exposing Self To Kids
PETALUMA (BCN) ―
Schools and law enforcement in and around Petaluma are on alert after two incidents of indecent exposure to children were reported this week.
Police on Thursday received a report that at about 4:30 p.m. a man wearing a T-shirt and no pants opened the sliding side door of a blue minivan and exposed himself to two 8-year-old girls playing outside at La Tercera Elementary School at 1600 Albin Way, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
The suspect, described as a clean-shaven white man in his late 20s, reportedly waved at the two girls to get their attention and later fled the area in an unknown direction.
A separate incident was reported Tuesday when a similarly described suspect wearing a red T-shirt and no pants exposed himself from a blue-green passenger van to a 9-year-old girl at the Lakeville Resort Apartments at around 4 p.m.
Police have alerted Marin and Sonoma County law enforcement agencies about the incidents and the suspect vehicle. A notice was also sent to parents and school officials alerting them to the reports.
Anyone with additional information or wishing to make a similar report is asked to contact the Petaluma Police Department at (707) 778-4372.
