A former NASA engineer from San Bruno will serve time in prison for possessing child pornography on his government computer.
Authorities say Mark Zelinsky has been sentenced to three years in federal prison after admitting that he used his computer to download sexually explicit material while he worked at the NASA Ames Research Center at Moffet Field.
In sentencing the 56-year-old Zelinksy, the judge also ordered that he be placed on supervised release for seven years after his release from prison.
Once he's out of prison, Zelinsky will also have to register as a sex offender.
