Newsom Looks To Mandate Muni Buses Right Of Way

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― Who should have the right of way, you or a Muni bus? If San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom has his way, there will be only one answer to that question.

Muni officials say often drivers won't let buses pull away from stops and back into traffic, trapping the buses. Newsom is looking to give Muni the right of way, but it will take an act of the legislature to do so.
