Coroner ID's Pacifica Woman Fatally Burned In Fire

PACIFICA (BCN) ― A woman who died after she was rescued from her burning home in Pacifica on Friday night has been identified as 76-year-old Megan More, the San Mateo County coroner's office said.

More lived at 162 Hilton Lane where firefighters responded to a single-alarm fire at 11:15 p.m., according to the North County Fire Authority.

Firefighters had to force entry to rescue More who was trapped on the second floor, fire officials said. She was transported to the hospital where she died.

The fire was controlled within 30 minutes, fire officials said.

The American Red Cross is providing temporary living assistance to a family member who made it out of the home unharmed.
