Drug Agents Seize Flavored Cocaine In Modesto

Federal drug agents have seized a stash of flavored cocaine in Modesto and say the product appears to be aimed at getting women and young users hooked.

An agent said Monday that about 1 ½ pounds of cocaine seized during drug buys and while searching two residences in Modesto was laced with a variety of flavors, including strawberry, lemon, coconut and cinnamon.

It was the second time in the past year that agents have confiscated flavored cocaine during a bust in California's Central Valley. It also was found last June during raids in West Sacramento and Stockton.

During last week's bust in Modesto, agents arrested three people and seized firearms and other drugs.
