Petaluma Man Struck And Killed New Year's Day
PETALUMA (BCN) ―
A man who was killed after being struck by a vehicle in an accident that blocked a main road in unincorporated Sonoma County northeast of Petaluma for hours on New Year's Day has been identified Friday by the coroner's office as Francisco Martinez.
The 18-year-old pedestrian from Petaluma was struck shortly before 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Adobe Road and Hardin Lane, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Robert Haven.
Adobe Road was closed in both directions while authorities investigated the incident, Haven said. It was reopened by about 3:20 a.m.
