Jim & Janet Frazier - Network of Care

(CBS 5) When the Fraziers won the Jefferson Award in August 2005, their Network of Care was supporting families at 12 Bay Area hospitals by delivering snack bags to parents keeping vigil at a child's bedside. But when people around the Bay Area saw the Jefferson Award story, they took action, pitching in to fill bags and deliver them. That enabled the Fraziers to expand their program to six more hospitals, including UCSF Children's Hospital in San Francisco and UC Davis Children's Hospital in Sacramento. Now many more families are able to stay with their children during the initial phase of an unplanned hospitalization. Learn more about the program at www.thenetworkofcare.org
