Jefferson Award Winner: Charlene Sigman
(CBS 5)
Jefferson Award winner Charlene Sigman has taken the success of her Happy Talkers program for children with speech problems and launched a new preschool for all children called School of the Imagination.
Charlene created Happy Talkers in 2000 to help children with various speech impairments learn to talk. Click

The School of the Imagination is based in similar methodology: individualized programs and low teacher-student ratios.
"We are thrilled to be able to expand our reach in the Tri-Valley and build on our vision of creating a school that meets the needs of all children," says Charlene. "It has been a team effort between our teachers, therapists, parents and community to make our school a reality. We look forward to building on our success of Happy Talkers to make the School of Imagination a center that fosters creativity, fun and scholastic achievement for each and every student."
The School of Imagination pledges superior academic preparation, the cultivation of gifts and talents, and artistic expression and music awareness, among other things.
