The 1978 murders of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk brought days of mourning and outrage. On Friday night, movie makers were recreating one of the saddest moments in San Francisco history.
Thousands of extras filled the streets of the Castro to recreate the scene of a candlelight march after Milk's and Moscone's assassination back in November 1978. The shoot is for the movie "Milk," a film about the life of San Francisco's first openly gay supervisor.
