Charo Thrills San Francisco Crowds

(CBS 5) Long before Madonna -- and even before Cher -- Charo was the queen of single-named celebrities.

Tuesday night, the 64-year-old entertainer was at a nightclub in San Francisco to judge a Charo lookalike contest.

"Thank God for all of you that make San Francisco different," Charo told the cheering crowd.

You can see the real Charo perform Saturday at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco. City officials have also proclaimed this as "Charo Week."
