The remnants of a massive Halloween party were still visible as cleanup continued on the streets of San Francisco's Castro District Tuesday morning.

Monday night's celebration was attended by an estimated 300,000 people.

Generally, the large police presence and a ban on alcohol in the streets contributed to a more mellow feel than in past years.

Three years ago there were five stabbings and a number of assaults.
