6 - AT THE MOVIES
I Love You Man
Various Bay Area Theaters
NOW Playing

This is billed as a "Bro-mance" movie. It is the story of a guy Peter (Paul Rudd) who is about to get married and is in search of a pal to be his best man. What ensues is a hilarious round of "bro-dates" until Peter finds his guy, Jason (played by Jason Segal) a surfer-dude who spends a lot of time in his "man cave". The laughs are a-plenty and the performances strong. Rudd is charming, goofy and embarrassing all at once and is perfect for this role. Take a buddy to see this film with you and if you don't have one, see the movie alone and get some tips on how to find a pal. The funniest movie I have seen this year.

8 - ON DVD
MILK - The story of Harvey Milk
In stores NOW
The Oscar winning movie about San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk (Sean Penn) is now on DVD and comes packed with extras. Watch this fine film in glorious HD with commentary by Director Gus Van Sant, enjoy behind the scenes moments, the making of Milk and photos of the cast. This is a great American story about one of the first out politicians in the country, Harvey Milk. His life was cut horribly short along with that of progressive Mayor Moscone, shot and killed by Dan White, a fellow politician. I still recommend that you see this film at the theater but the DVD is one to own and treasure forever.

Chef's recipes come from his mother and every bit of love passed down shows up in every dish. Must haves: the Cambogee Beef (wok tossed cubes of beef tenderloin in a fresh herb salad) and the Ranghoon Clay Pot (filet of chilean sea bass with wild mushrooms and leaks). Happy tummies all around.
