6 AT THE MOVIES
Land of The Lost
NOW Playing
Will Farrell plays the lead role of in this comic film version of the 1970's Saturday morning TV show "Land of the Lost". The cast is strong Will Farrell, Anna Friel but the gags are weak and the laughs few and far between. This might have made for a great SNL skit but as a ninety minute movie it falls short on so many levels. The most amusing moments of the movies are at the beginning featuring a run in on The Today Show with Matt Lauer. Even the brilliant Farrell could not rescue this flick, soon to be in the Land of the Lost video vault.

9 BEST OF THE MED
La Mediterranee
2210 Fillmore Street, San Francisco
Daily 11am - 10pm
For a taste of the Med like none other, venture to this Fillmore Street gem in San Francisco - a fixture on the street for almost 30 years. It's a small joint with big flavors: the chicken kebab is scrumptious, the tender lamb lule - wow - and the chicken pomegranate baked in wild herbs - heaven. A great spot for an intimate dinner for two, book a table after the sun goes down.

10 HAPPY HOUR
Pig and Whistle
2801 Geary Boulevard, San Francisco
Daily 4pm - 6pm
Stop into one of San Francisco's most authentic pubs for a pint and some fine pub grub. The Pig and Whistle is a cosy neighbourhood pub with an inviting vibe, friendly staff and great selection of suds. The kitchen offers fine British pub fare: perfect fish and chips, solid bangers and mash, tasty sausage rolls, and Cornish pasties to die for. The beer battered mushrooms are particularly good. Chill in the cosy room and enjoy a game of darts or saddle up to the bar and hang with the regulars. A fine spot to stop for great beers and authentic pub food.
