Moth Spraying Opponents Take Message To Shriver

CORTE MADERA (CBS 5) ― The light brown apple moth has been at the center of a battle over pesticide spraying. Governor Schwarzenegger agreed to temporarily halt the spraying. But those opposed to the spraying took their message to first lady Maria Shriver on Tuesday.

Shriver was in Corte Madera to promote her latest book. More than 50 people, mostly mothers and their children stood in front of the bookstore she visited in what they called a peaceful protest. The protestors believed Shriver would listen and hopefully influence her husband to abandon the plan to spray for the apple moth later this year.
