Bay Area Meat Lovers Join Club To Cut Costs

Anyone who enjoys a good steak knows how pricey a quality piece of meat can be. That's the reason why some Bay Area meat lovers are going straight to the source.
Stu Fisher buys whole animals from individual farmers and organizes to share in the purchase. After butchering and delivery, it comes out to $3.75 a pound.
For those not as adventurous, Community Supported Agriculture clubs deliver a box of frozen meat every month. In both cases, people join to support are farmers which keeps their food local and helps the environment. It also cuts down the possibility of food contamination and scares.
