Workers File Complaints Against Bay Area Taqueria


SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― Several Former Employees of a Bay Area taqueria chain say their owner not only made working conditions brutal, but also cheated them. Their complaints have prompted a government investigation.

A non-profit workers' rights group helped former Azteca Taqueria employees file a complaint with the California Department of Labor Standards. They accuse the taqueria of cheating them on overtime pay and tips, along with not giving them breaks. The owner of Azteca Taqueria has denied the charges.
