Asian‐Inspired Meat Marinade Recipe

  This recipe, featured on the CBS 5 Weekend Early Edition, was Developed by Chef Dennis Lee of Namu Bar.

Ingredients: 

  • 1 can natural cola
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 tbls minced garlic 
  • 3 tbls minced ginger
  • 2 cups soy sauce
  • 1 cup mirin
  • 1 cup sake
  • ¼ cup sesame oil
Instructions (for up to 20 lbs of meat):

  • Coat meat with sugar and sesame oil
  • Massage sugar and sesame oil into the meat
  • Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl
  • Pour mixture over meat and mix
  • Let the meat marinade for at least 6 hours – no more than 48 hours
*Marinade can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks
