And I will be among the EMCEES at Woodstock's 40th Anniversary on Sunday.

9 EAT HERE
Medallion
1095 Rollins Road, Burlingame
Friday & Saturday 5pm - 11pm
Sunday through Thursday 5pm - 10pm

There is a new hot spot to eat on the Peninsula serving surf and turf with a reverence to local and fresh. The steaks here are the main reason to venture to Medallion. I had the grass fed New York steak and it was sensational, served with a delicious mix of sides: sweet potatoes, mushrooms, mmmm. This new spot, the brainchild of Medjool guru Gus is more than a restaurant, it also features a sexy lounge where you can hang out and try one of their signature cocktails: the tequila charged Medallion cocktail is the way to go. There is a raw bar too serving an array of fresh, chilled oysters from near and afar. A patio, due to open next week boasts room for alfresco dining and inbibing in what must be the coolest new joint on the Peninsula.

This Sunday 1300 Fillmore is turning two so come and celebrate two soul-filled years with $2 drink specials and two for one select lounge menu items. The Sunday Soul Series feature band Dynamic will provide beats with your eats throughout the evening. I love this restaurant. Saddle up to the bar, the best seat in the house, have a cocktail and devour some small plates. Congratulations Chef David Lawrence, wife Monetta and crew on two glorious years. Cheers and here's to many more, 1300 Fillmore.
