Oakland's Parkway Theater To Shut Its Doors

OAKLAND (CBS 5) ― Moviegoers will soon lose a beloved Oakland theater that provides the amenities of a restaurant, pub and living room rolled into one. The Parkway Theater will shut down, due to the struggling economy.

At the Parkway you can get dinner and a movie, all at once, in fact delivered to your seat while you watch. The picture, pizza and pub theatre has been running 12 years in Oakland's Lower Park Boulevard Neighborhood.

But the economy has caught up with the theatre. Owner Catherine Fischer and husband Kyle have decided to shut the Parkway down on Sunday.
