7 - AT THE MOVIES
The Taking Of Pelham 123
NOW Showing
Director Tony Scott is on the right track with this remake now playing in Bay Area Theaters. This action thriller centers around a con man Ryder (John Travolta) and his band of armed men who hijack a New York subway train, demand ten million dollars in ransom money and want it delivered in an hour or nineteen hostages say "bye-bye."  Denzel Washington plays Walter Garber, an affable subway dispatcher who helps Ryder keep his cool and well, we'll leave it at that. Great movie with stunning performances, well worth the price of a subway ride to the theater.
