'Amazing Race' All-Stars Debut Sunday Night

The new season of "The Amazing Race" which debuts Sunday night on CBS promises some of the fiercest competition yet. Several of the most popular and controversial racers are back for an all-star "Amazing Race."
"Race" host Phil Keoghan sat down with CBS Early Show anchor Julie Chen Friday for a preview.
"Rob and Amber are probably the most famous reality show stars and some think they are too competitive," said Keoghan. "People think they have had their 15 minutes and maybe a couple of hours on top of that. For them to come back at the starting line with the other teams looking at them thinking 'What are they doing here? Why did they come back again?' - that's good for TV. If we hadn't put them in the show, people would be going 'Where's Rob and Amber?'"
Married couple Uchenna and Joyce Agu, who scooped up the $1 million prize in season seven, are the only previous winners returning for this season.
"When they ran, there was a feeling among all the other racers they really deserved it," said Keoghan.
"One of the most historical moments on 'Amazing Race' was when Joyce decided to shave off all her hair when faced with a fast-forward," said Keoghan. "It is meant to give you good karma, and it did."
The Agus ended up winning the $1 million prize.
"What I love about this race, at one point you can have amazing sprinter racing Charla," said Keoghan, refering to Charla Baklayan Faddoul, the 4-foot-tall woman who appeared in season five with her cousin Mirna Hindoyan. "They have a new strategy this season, they are coming back with those 'wheely' shoes, where Mirna can pull Charla through the airport."
Now in his 11th season of hosting "The Amazing Race," Phil Keoghan has worked all over the world as a cameraman, producer and host. Since the age of 19, he has hosted more than 1,000 program episodes, including his own internationally distributed series, "Keoghan's Heroes," which profiled famous thrill-seekers around.
