Father Of Jackson Accuser Commits Suicide

NEW YORK (CBS) ― The father of the boy who accused Michael Jackson of child molestation in the 90s has been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound, according to the NY Post.

The newspaper says that Evan Chandler, 65, was discovered in his Jersey City apartment earlier this month with a .38 caliber revolver in his hand.

They described Chandler, father of Jordan Chandler, as being "gravely ill" at the time of the suicide.

Chandler's body, according to the NY tabloid, was found by his apartment building concierge.

They also reported Chandler did not leave a note.

Michael Jackson settled with Chandler for a reported $20 million over claims of molestation, although Jackson was never charged in that case.

Chandler had been a well-known Beverly Hills dentist but reportedly watched his business crumble after the allegations became known.

According to the Post, friends say Chandler moved to the East coast and even had several plastic surgeries to disguise himself from angered Jackson fans.
