Women Of "The View" Try Again To Win Daytime Emmy For Hosting

NEW YORK (AP) ― The women of "The View" have another chance to break their long Daytime Emmy losing streak.

They're up for best entertainment talk show hosts, an award they've lost 10 times. "The View" will compete against Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, and Ellen DeGeneres, who's won three times.

"The View" is also nominated for best talk show, which it's won before. It's up against "Rachael Ray" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," which has won four years straight.

""Dr. Phil" and "The Tyra Banks Show" are nominated for best informative talk show, along with "A Place of Our Own."

The nominees for best soap are "General Hospital," "Guiding Light," "One Life to Live" and "The Young and the Restless."

Nominations were announced Wednesday on "The View."

Winners will be announced June 20th in Los Angeles.
